The Lancer is an Attacker Type unit unlocked at Player Level 1.
Description: “This long spear can pierce units from a distance. Charge into units from afar to deal critical damage.”
Lancer is perfect for taking care of enemy units, and because of that it has a medium cost (5 per unit). Has a pretty fair attack and medium HP.
Lancer can speed up and charge at units and buildings, dealing x3.00 pierce damage (default) that adds up to the damage of a normal attack. The charge can also knockdown almost all units, with the exception of the Titan, the Buckler (his direct counter-part), and the Paladin. Note: when two lancers charge at each other, they both get hit by the normal attack damage, but the pierce damage does not apply and both get knocked back a bit, like they stumbled one in the other.
The lancer also has a minor skill: when an enemy tries to fight back, this unit backs off with a leap that prevents it to be harmed, getting ready to attack more. Note that this applies only to units that are melee-type, have a weapon that isn’t a lance too (cause it can reach it even after the leap), and that don’t have a counter-attack skill, such as the Buckler. Also, when there’s a building, a friendly unit, or a wall behind it, the lancer can’t leap to the distance it supposedly backed off to, so it could still be damaged by the enemy’s attack.
