The castle is the main structure in your town. The current max level used to be 8 but now the max level has been increased to be 13.

The higher your castle's level is, the higher the defense cost gets. It has its own unit slots which deploy units to defend the castle, alongside the Blue/Red Barracks and the Clan Castle, castle able to spawn 5 unit at the same time. The Castle has the highest HP out of all other structures in your town, and destroying it grants 25% damage on an enemy town, meaning protecting it is vital.
The castle will also help to save an amount of your resources after your town get attacked.
